The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 30,000 entries every year in local competitions such the Greater San Francisco competition. Gold Winners in this competition move up to one of 15 District competitions for the chance to advance to the National Finals. In addition to a professional competition, there is a concurrent student competition.
With over 200 categories covering all aspects of advertising, the American Advertising Awards Greater San Francisco competition is the first step towards the illustrious Gold “ADDY” Award.
Local judging will be once again conducted online this year. In some categories, entrants will be allowed and/or required to upload additional digital examples of an entry. This is intended to provide more appropriate content for the judges, should a virtual judging solution be necessary.
We request that you upload a PDF of the entire document of multi-page entries, or several photos (or a short video) of your entry if that will best display your entry for the judges.

Entry Fees Listed are good through the deadline day. Any entries submitted after the deadline day are subject to a $25 per entry late fee.
Please note that depending on the number of entries, there may be an overall savings to join the club when you submit entries.
